Revealed less than two weeks ago, the Alpha-N Performance BMW M2 Coupe is already in the attention of Alpha-N Performance aftermarket specialist. It will be a while until deliveries of the first ever M2 will start, but that hasn’t stopped this tuner from providing a sneak preview of their M2-RS upgrade package which will take the 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine from the series 370 PS (272 kW) to 480 PS (353 kW) by implementing a chip-tuning box and also a water injection system.

The massive power bump will have a significant impact on the car’s performances, so the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint will take a lot less than the 4.5 seconds needed by the standard M2 fitted with the six-speed manual gearbox (4.3s with the seven-speed DCT). BMW installs a 155 mph (250 km/h) electronic speed limiter, but maybe Alpha-N Performance is willing to remove that to unlock the car’s full potential.
