Genesis has unveiled a sharp looking new concept car that previews what a hybrid sport sedan from Hyundai’s luxury brand could look like. Debuting at the 2016 New York Auto Show with the least creative name ever, this concept is called the New York Concept. Luckily, the car looks much more exciting than its name implies.
Hyundai says this sedan is powered by a direct injection 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, but no information has been released about the concept’s hybrid element. Absolutely no other performance specs have been revealed, and although it will have an eight-speed transmission, it’s not known yet which wheels will be driven.
Inside, the cabin in highlighted by a 21-inch curved 4K digital display that supports 3D gesture controls, copper colored accents and an open steering wheel.
